I know how tiresome this must be getting this question all the time but I would like some help w/ burning DVDs. I am borrowing the complete series of Vicar Of Dibley off a friend and i ripped it onto the comp. I ripped it using Xilisoft DVD ripper platinum and they are Xvids. I then tried to use Easy CD / DVD burner to burn them to a DVD. It told me it was successful but when I put it in my DVD player it just told me to eject it. I then tried it on my PS3 but no luck, it said there was nothing on there. Could someone please help because I have been trying for literally months to even get them on a disc so I've got somewhere I suppose but am stuck again. Thanks for any help!
If you want to burn it to a dvd this is what u do. SOFTWARE NEEDED DVD Decrypter FixVTS DVDShrink ImgBurn Step 1. Use DVD Decrypter and decrypt it to a file. 2. Use FixVTS to and go the the video files that are decryped. FixVTS will turn them into 1 ISO file. 3.Use DVDShrink to make the ISO file genuine and dvd able. 4.Use ImgBurn to burn the ISO files to the DVD. Thats it .. you will probably be confused by that so ask me more questions if you want. JT
Thanks for the reply. I have UltraISO and I used that to rip an iso but it was 6.79GB which is too big for the DVD. If I used the programs you suggested, would that make it fit on the DVD? Thanks again
A file that big will lose noticeable quality, I suggest you spend the cash and buy a dual layer disk.
you have to use a transcoder/encoder to make it fit, like dvd shirnk , nero recode, clonedvd, just to name a few, shrink is the only free one, and if you use the quality enhancements it will give a lot better picture quality.
Just use this guide. It will help you extremely with everything you need to know. It helped me. I don't know who made it though. http://webpages.charter.net/bacitup/TheGuides/Back up DVD w fab, vixvts, shrink, imageburn.pdf Its a guide step-by-step on how to use your burner. JT
@jaytee619 That guide is by bbmayo @JakeT99, that guide posted above is very easy, BTW you can get that guide and all the other guides by bbmayo, with the second link in my sig, it starts with this (*http://webpages.charter...
So, I'm following that guide, but I have a little problem... It says to click on the first file named VIDEO_TS.VOB but that isn't there as shown by the pictures. - WHAT IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE - WHAT IT DOES LOOK LIKE I've followed every step correctly, so I don't know what to do. Be great if I could get some quick help as the DVD has to go back to my mate soon. Cheers
I just looked in the folder containing the DVD and found 2 files called VIDEO_TS. One was a BUP file and one was an IFO file. If I try to drag it into FixVTS it tells me to load a VOB file but there isn't a file called VIDEO_TS.VOB! Any ideas?
Are you selecting the right folder? the folder you ripped with DVDFab you can open the folder through windows explorer then drag any VOB file into FixVTS.
Yes, it's the right folder. I created a 'DVDs Ripped' folder like the guide told me to and selected it as the output directory.
You have plenty of vob's. The file extensions are hidden. Open explorer and go to TOOLS and then Folder Options and click on the View tab. Uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.
you can drag any of the VTS files and it should work from your first screen shot. sorry, i missed your first screen shot in your earlier post. been looking at the screen for too long
Oh, sorry, I thought I could only do it to the first one! If I want the whole DVD, do I have to do it to every VOB file?
