I have been going throught the whole process of ripping, authoring, encoding, burning and have gotten inconsistent results, those being, the movie plays but loses sound, will play on one player and not another ( but dvd-r plays on all my players), etc. My question is, is it more likely to be media or software ? Also, I was told putting labels on DVDs is a bad idea because they are more sensitive to balance problem ? Thanks
in my opinion after my varied results (i use the xbox as the standard of compatibility, very picky dvd drive) and have found its the burner software more than the media. i'm a true fan of recordnow max (so much so, they should pay me for advertising, hehe..) my backups i burn with them play perfectly on the xbox, the ones i make with nero burn 5.5.9.17 don't play in the xbox but do play in most players. so thats my $.02 peace seamonkey420
Thanks for the .02 on the software vs. the media; what about the label issue, are DVDs more sensitive to balance problems caused by off center labels than CDs ?
