I bought an R200 a few months ago and after much experimenting I can only conclude its not good enought to produce DVD inserts to a passable quality.

I've tried scanning the original at the highest resolution my scanner will allow, 1200 dps, and all kinds of different paper, 90-255 gms (255 gms looks OK but its way too thick and "frays" around the edges when cutting).

Changing the type of paper settings on the printer program and enhancing and sharpening the image on Photoshop does help but the results are not perfect.

Anyone suggest a different approach or for excellent quality inserts or do I have to splash out on a decent laser printer?

ps- The R200 is not all bad, if you're looking for something to print onto your discs you could do a lot worse.
