ive just started using Tmpgenc recently after getting sick of nero. Now ive been trying to convert a 25 minute episode into mpeg using the standard ntsc vcd wizard but at the end it says the vcd is nearly 70 minutes long and will take over 1 gig of hd space what am i doing wrong :(

When you convert your .avi or whatever the file maybe it always gets bigger when converted. that explains the 1gig problem. A normal cdr can hold 80 min so you should have no problem with putting something that is 70 mins long on a cd.

yes but the episode is only 25 minutes long and tmpgenc says it's 70, if u used nero i could get 3 episodes on a vcd no problem. It seems to do this with any avi i try so it must be something im doing wrong :(

at the end of using the wizard process it shows you a bar of how much space it will take up on the cd, and it goes to 72 minutes or something like that, and 1 gig is very oversized for something only 25 minutes in length

In TMPGEnc, click settings and click the advanced tab. Tick the box beside source range and then double click source range! When you can, click "move to start frame" and click "set start frame" click "move to end frame" and click "set end frame". Now try and encode!
