So my Laptop wont power up, When I hit the power button the power light comes on but nothing happens I don't the Hard drive kick on, no HD light , the monitor stays blank nothing. The only thing it will do is eject the DVD drive. It's Dell Inspiron 1764. Anyone come across this issue before?
I think you may have improperly flashed your laptop. I had this problem before when I tried to upgrade BIOS. The only thing to do is to call dell and they'll fix it or get you a new one, assuming you still have the warranty. The only other way to fix the problem yourself is to get a new BIOS chip or hot flash it. I do not really recommend doing it yourself since you can do more damage than good.
