i got a OS installation ISO (like the ubuntu installation disc) but i have 0 means of putting it on a disc. so i was wondering how would i go about turning that iso into something i could put on my HDD and then boot from it to install it
IF you have windows xp, see if this free virtual cd rom program works for you. http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/xpvirtualcd.html If you have vista, one program that might do it is farstone virtualdrive 11.5 , It has support for ISO files.
no you've gotten it all wrong i need something that the bios can see as a viable OS that i've extracted from an iso and put on a clean HDD the problem is, to my knowledge, there is nothing in the iso that says "boot me" which is the problem i want to fix
