Installed HD on ME but BIOS lists 98/2000 ..

After installing a HD on a HP Pavilion 8755c which was the original OS on it I'm having trouble as the HD isn't being found and the ME recovery discs aren't either.

I seen some problems in the BIOS that may be the issue :

I know the HD is definitely installed as the BIOS has it listed as the Secondary Master and my CD-r as the Primary Master.

However, the main problem may be the OS itself. The BIOS has me using 98/2000 instead of ME which I know is the true OS on it. It did however give me the option to change the OS from 98/2000 to 95 or Other but no ME option was given. I selected other.

Is the BIOS wrong or is it normal to list ME as 98/2000 as the OS installed?
