Since I am burning my WIndows Vista Ultimate 4 bit (got from a torrent) to a Dvd rom for my new computer and such, how would I go about installing it on this computer?

This comp currently has Windows Vista home premium, so would I use the same torrent, or look for an upgrade torrent...

Also, if I did, would I lose the drivers that came with it, or would it search for and find new ones?

I am just making some minor changes because the computer purchasing parts for and building wont be until this coming spring, so I am installing this new OS, some more ram, and video card for this one, and I can reuse the video card and ram, on new motherboard and computer.

    Thanks

Don't be too surprised that this thread get's closed due to piracy.

With torrents you're at the mercy of the upper and so the quality of said files. If you have scanned the files for net nasties then simply pop in the disc (if you burned one that is) and install via the prompts as they come. All will be obvious at the time. Now here's the good bit..you MUST back up all files to dvd's or cd's to ensure their integrity.

This last bit refers to the changes you would like to make at a later stage. My advice would be to make the hardware changes as you want and THEN make an OS change.. and not before.

    Good luck with the up-grade.

    Cheers.

Ok thanks, but I am going to hold out for now.

I am going to just get the hardware and then just buy the legit copy of it. I dont want to risk getting a bad file, or having something happen down the line with microsoft killing my os for it being downloaded.

I do app the help and advice though.
