Installing a Wireless Network Card on SusE 10.1 x86

    OKay. Im a Linux newb. I got Linux SuSe 10.1 and im trying to install my Network Card. its a NetGear 32-bit PCI WG311v2 54mps Wireless PCI Adaptor. How do i configure and install it! PLease helpppp. I have Linux SuSe 10.1.

    in Mandriva linux you would get the original Windows drivers the INF files) and install 'ndiswrapper' and point it towards the INF drivers; i'd assume you do the same with Suse

    Yep I have had the same problem...My wireless card isn't supported and I am cinnected to a network so the only way for me to get the files is from Windows....And I have to rip them to a disk.....Because alot of distros don't have mounting NTFS partitions by default

    Same problem here. D Link DWL 520

    Is anyone fimiliar with these, and where can I get them?

    Required packages
    Most of the steps below demand that the following packages be installed:

    gcc
    make
    kernel-source
    kernel-syms
    kdeadmin3
    compat-expat1
    expat
