    Question...
I live to far off the raod for the cable company to consider me a "serviceable customer". They want 6 grand to run cable from the pole to my house which they will never come close to getting from me.
So...I want to run it myself using direct burial coax cable. Would someone please advise me on the type of cable to use and where to buy it please?
This line will be used for cable tv (non digital) and high speed internet. Thanks for any help.

Hi Spyder22, Most companies are using RG 6 cable for installations these days. My suggestion would be to contact the cable company that you intend to hook into and see if thats what they use. I did a Google search for RG 6 direct burial cable and got several hits on it. Looks like about 80 cents per foot. I dont know what distance you intend to run but get the best you can afford so you won't have problems after its under ground. Good luck.
