I'm trying to install Nero 8 (from cd), have used the clean tool from Nero to remove Nero 7 but still get an error message near the end of the installation. "Unable to complete installation of assembly component {74FD3CE6-2A8D-0E9C-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E HRESULT 0x800736B3" if that means anything to anyone. Anxious to use the program....please help!
sistap, Keep your serial key readily available. Run the Clean Tool once more, and then download/install the most recent release here instead.
Thanks for the update. Ran the Clean Tool, turned off antivirus, downloaded file suggested and now I get a whole pile of errors. EG. Unable to register C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nero\Lib\MediaLibraryNSE.dll Error code 2147010895 The application has failed to start because side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail. Error=14001 Facility=7The highlighted part changes to different file names. Note sure where to find the Log. Looked under log events but not much makes sense to me. Appreciate the help.
I'm sorry. I understand how frustrating it can be to install/uninstall a suite application like Nero. Anyway, try this: Get Nero 8 Clean Tool here. Run it and restart your PC. Now, download the trial here, and input your serial key whenever prompted during the installation process.
I'm trying to load Nero 8. used the Nero 7 clean tool but continually get the message "cannot access network location D:My Documents\. " Any ideas. The Program installer then says try installing again at another time. I'm so frustrated with this!
pryme_H Thanks for your help but still no luck. I've cleaned off the program, rebooted, turned off antivirus and I still get the same errors. I think I'm going crazy! I even tried a system restore but that didn't work either. What should I try next? Much appreciated
sistap, The next stride is probably to contact Nero's tech support team. It shouldn't be this hard to install a program that you paid money for. The instructions are located here. Goodluck!
Thanks, I agree, way too complicated for one program. Wonder if I'll have similar problems once I get it installed...I'll contact Nero.
