    Hello,

I have used the nero 7, 8,and general clean tool. I have deleted the keys in the registry for Nero and deleted Nero from the program group. I have bought both the downoaded and boxed version of Nero 8 and after installation any one of the programs will open one time, and one time only. Then when you click on the Nero icons from the start programs, desktop icons, or going to the executable in the programs when you click on it, nothing happens. I have had 5 different Nero email responses and have sent the Nero log file to them and it is always the same.

Does anyone here have any recommendations?

    Thanks,

    Jeffko

    What OS are you using?
Any other software like Nero installed?
    Try a registry cleaner?

I had crazy things like this happen when I installed the trial version of Nero 8 in Vista. I ended up having to reinstall my OS to clear it up.

    Windows XP Pro.

I have used a registry cleaner.

When Nero wouldn't install I got Roxio and I use EAC too.

    Thanks for noting the post!

    Blessings!

Sometimes all the different burning programs don't get along, especially Roxio and Nero, since they all install their own hardware drivers. In your case it seems the items might not have been properly registered for whatever reason. Sometimes virus protection can interfere.

Nero doesn't even get along with Nero!

I had an attempted installation abort for some unknown reason. To this day I cannot install any version of Nero on my PC. Their "clean tool" is useless and registry cleaners don't help either.

    IMHO, Nero SUCKS!
