Installing operation system on new hard drive?

    Ok so im crap at computer stuff.
    Im trying 2 install an os on a replaced hard drive in a hp vectra computer...im a little stuck...i have no idea how to boot up the disk, i can get into the BIOS and change stuff, if that helps...could anyone guide me?

    at least in my bios there is a option called "boot options" from there there will probrably be a menu that gives u a option to boot from disk. i hope that helps

    Hi, in bios select cd to first boot. Open cd drawer and insert OS cd reset pc on restart windows installation screen will display. just follow instructions. Good Luck. will check back PM 5-10-07
