hello everybody! the other say i bought a 2nd dvd rw and tried installing it in my computer as a replacement for my cd rw. I dont really know that much about computers but i just unconnected the cables which were connected to the old device, and connected them up to the new dvd rw. However, i turned on the computer and now all it shows up in my computer is only having one drive which is the one that was already in the computer which i left in. also, when i right click this drive and click 'eject', it ejects both drives. can someone help me please on how to fix this problem so it shows up as another drive. all help much appreciated! sammo_101
Make sure the jumper settings (Master/Slave) for the new drive is set the same as the old drive you just removed. Check the thread out for a good tutorial on changing burners: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/461258
i hav folowed this tut and still it only recognises the new drive. if i take the new one out then the old one works fine. i need help bad! thanks for help tho
