New to the boards here. Very informative place though. I love the guides and all the threads that are up. Very well done, folks.

my question is this: Is there any program that will test the integrity of the backup dvd's that I burn? Something that will check for errors either in the decoding and/or the writing process. This would be much more efficient that actually viewing each disc in it's entirety to see if there were any flaws on disc.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

    Hiya,

Most burning programs have a Verify function that can be selected to run immediately after the burn has completed.

Warning: this function is invariably non-operational IF your chosen method of burning is from an ISO image....

There are a number of third-party utilities that can be configured to do the same job (FolderMatch as an example).

    Hope this helps...
