    Hello,
i m here 2 ask ur assistance regarding one minor doubt reg the windows systems.
    Actually i got two systems
    1st has the configuration of
Intel 915 GV , 80gb harddisk , 3.0gHz Intel processor and many more.
    2nd has the configuration of
Intel 865 GBF, 160gb hdd, 2.4gHz Intel processor.
Now, can i interchange the harddisks between the two PCs i.e. can i transfer 1st system's harddisk to 2nd system and 2nd system's harddisk to 1st system?
Some told me that v will have 2 format both the harddisks after interchanging because there would be a change in the processor and motherboard. So harddisk needs 2 be formatted according 2 the motherboard and the processor.
    Is it true?
or Can we just interchange the harddisks and simply work on them without even formatting them?
Pls do assist me...I m in a bad need of help

Unless the systems have similar chipsets, you will have to format the drives. It may or may not work without reinstalling the OS.

if you do one at a time you can just add one to the other pc as slave drive.

im not sure exactly where to look, may tell you in system/device manager, but you can also download a program called cpuz and it will tell you basics about your cpu/mb/ram (including your chipset)
