Ok, I'll spare everyone the whole "I'm a noob, How do I softmod" BS. Just to get this out of the way 1. I don't do mod chips. 2. I can't get an Action Replay. There, now on to the problem: This is about Halo 2, well sorta.... I have one of those Xbox controllers, that have been spliced to have a USB, and an Xbox Cable port. And I have all the Drivers. So I've got it so that I can play Halo PC, with an Xbox controller. Cool eh? Anyway, I also have the Xbox Memory Card, so that when I plug the Xbox Controller into my computer I get a "Xbox controller USB found" message, and that when I plug the Memory card into the Controller it says "Portable USB storage Device found" So, what is my problem you ask? Well, my problem is that when I try to put Halo 2 Save-games, from www.gamefaqs.com, into it, it says I have to reformat the Memory Card. So I reformat it, then plug it into the Xbox, and the Xbox says I have to Reformat it to use it. And we all know Reformating the Device will Delete the files on it. So what I want to know is how to get a Halo 2, or any Save-game for that matter, onto the Xbox. With out, Modchips, Action Replay, [bold]OR[/bold] Ethernet Cable. Thank you for your time.
u could download action replay illegaly online but i wouldnt give the link for fear that "they" will come and beat me with a stick
What the heck are you talking about? It's free@codejunkies.com: click, your region, go to support and dowload the software.
hehehe. I see the problem. Unfortunately, you pc IS detecting the memory card and when it says you need to reformat it, it means it needs it to be the right format for the pc to use......Unfortunately that aint the same format as what your xbox is using. Sooooo, I your cheapest and easyest option is...... Get an ethernet cable and stop being lazy. J/k about the lazy thing dikdimond, Dunno what your on about m8. The only thing you'll get @ codejunkies is codes for the ps2 action replay or game saves for the xbox. They offer no free software that I could find.
@Bubba1982 scroll down in the downloads section until you see the following:"Action Replay XBox PC Software v1.31 - UPDATED: 07/30/2004 Now works with both the old and new versions of the XBOX memory card", then below that is a link to download it. I used this to transfer the AUF exploit to a usb key that I used as a memeory stick. Full-on Action Replay on my pc,and it makes transfereing gamesaves much easier, especially since I have the xbox to usb thingy, and transfer straight to my xbox memeory card via the control itself
Ah Ha. found it. Just couldn't find the downloads section to start off with. Sneaky buggers hid the link at the bottom of the page.
Still, the Xbox Action Replay dosent do anything. I've downloaded it, however I can't drag and Gamesaves over to the memory card section. How do I transfer game saves to the Memory card?
What drivers are you using? When I plug my cable into my pc and I search for the drivers to install myself,"XBCD Game Pad" is shown over the toolbar(over the usb icon in toolbar)and then that driver is shown as my choice of drivers. Then, after those drivers are installed the "dee-doo" sounds again,as if another usb is being plugged in,and "MaxDrive Xbox appears(or will appear when I install the driver) and then open Action Replay and transfer gamesaves to the memory card, with out it reformatting anything. I did it several times just now and everything was ok.
