I have a rather interesting problem with my CD-RW drive, I install the game, start it up, and it come up with the auto-run menu, I click "Play" and it says "Please insert correct disk and try again" or something similar to that. The problem is, there's only one disc! Sometimes, it doesn't come up with the autorun menu either, what's wrong? It's a TDK 16x/10x/40x, if it makes a difference, and I think we have the "latest" drives/firmware for it too...Ideas? Need more info? Something else?
I've never encountered this problem with the original pc game discs. I have encountered this problem with my backups (Safedisc 2.x\3.x). Try installing from a dvd\cd-rom (if applicable). if all else fails then download Daemon Tools and create 2(or more virtual stealth drives). Read the image(s) of the pc game(CloneCD, Alcohol 120 or Blindwrite 5) you can't install then mount the image(s) using Daemon Tools and try to install\play from your created virtual stealth drive(s). Safedisc emulation "might" need enabled via Daemon Tools. Chevelle: You can have a copy and still not pirate software you know. Not every copy is a pirated version.
Chevelle, Have you tried to install this game on another drive of yours (if applicable)? What are you installing? Shoey
Actually, I'll have to try again..... *sues MS for making such crappy products* We just had to re-format our drive, yet again due to more stupid problems. (Read: most likely a virus.) and before any of you ask, yes we do have Norton Anti-Virus! It was "Myst: Uru" since you asked, although I think we've had that problem with other programs also.
