When I import DV from my Sony camera by FireWire into Premier 6, process it and then export as an Mpeg v2 movie, it shows severe interlacing 'jaggies'.
I can only avoid this by selecting each clip in turn and setting it to be deinterlaced. This is time consuming, and the clip cannot then be viewed on the timeline for editing.
I have tried all the different capture settings to no avail. Is this a capture or a Premier processing problem?

Don't think it's anything to do with the capture. Have you tried exporting after setting the field order to 'bottom (or lower) field first' in the export settings?
