my dvd burned burned out and i bought a new burner. when i put it in to try and copie a dvd it would not work so i tried to copy one that has worked for me before still didnt work. my dad told me there is some internal dvd copy protection in the new drives. which burner should i buy that does not have that? i cant remember which one i aqlready bought. i have an external that is working for me now but i want an internal drive
yes it reconizes the burner i was able to make o copy of a copy that had already been encrypted so it had no copt protection but when i went to make a copy of the original it reconized that it had protection and would not allow it to copy.
with my original burner i used dvd 43 which is a incrypting program that takes away the copy protection which inabled me to burn a copy protected dvd. when i bought the new dvd burner it had a internal protection that stop dvd 43 from taking off the protection i was wondering what burners do not do that because i need a new one
dvd43 is not an encrypting program, it's a decrypting program, and not a very good one at that. replacing your drive should have had no effect on it. try uninstalling it, cleaning your registry, and reinstalling it. or, you could just use better programs, like AnyDVD. there is no "internal protection" on the burners, only protection on the discs themselves.
DVDFab HD Decrypter is a free program ~ http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm The rest of the DVDFab line of programs are payware. HD Decrypter doesn't work like AnyDVD or DVD43 as it doesn't run in the background while you rip with another program, so you'll have to rip your disc to the HDD first, which is the recommended method, and then continue with DVD Shrink as usual.
so if i use dvdfab i should not have any problem with a new dvd burner? are there any you would suggest to buy?
You should have no problem with the new drive, but just to see what you have fire up Imgburn in write mode and copy and paste the information on the right hand side to this thread.
