Ok, I already have an 80GB HD in my Dell but im wondering is there any special converter connector cable or any method that will allow me to take another internal HD and have it work outside the PC like an external HD. Im asking this because I had a 120GB HD in my PS2 but I sold the PS2 not long ago and now I wanna use it for my PC if not for me already owning this HD id just buy a regular external HD so any help with this will be much appreciated.

All you need is something such as this->http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817155224

While I'm not familiar with the size of a ps2 HD I can tell you these enclosures come in all different sizes, you simply install your drive in it and hook it up to an open USB or firewire port (depending on what you choose).

You will need to format and partition the drive to make it useable but that's not that big a deal.

    Best of luck.

Yes, it is a standard 3.5" IDE/ATA HD, but it's not the official Sony HD. I modded my PS2 so I could put in a much larger HD because I believe the standard Sony HD was only about 40GB and I could fill that up in an hour.

I figured it to be ide just was not sure as to 2.5" or 3.5".
I've never had or opened up an PS2 or any other game console for that matter...not really one of my interests I guess.
