I purchased a single drive rack for a Sata drive that fits in my 5" expansion slot. No raid.

I had had numerous problems with USB corrupting data by removing when the systems hangs etc.

    My question is:

    Is the Sata more reliable?

Is there any action like you take for a USB to "stop it and remove it" to dump the buffers, etc??

    Thanks

On sata drives, your motherboard has to support the "hot swap" feature, if it does it will show up like a usb connection, that you have stop to remove. Make sure that your hard drive powers down completely before you remove it.
