    Hi all.

Is it possible to browse the internet on a DS with just the R4 card? If so could someone point me in the right direction?

I've seen Opera but that needs to have the expansion pack in Slot2.

I have the WiFi connection ready to go so it's just the DS side of things that need work.

I've searchen the DS forums and can't see any threads about this (which did surprise me quite a bit).

    Many thanks

    Chaps and Chapettes :)

It is possible to browse the internet, but there's no way around not having the expansion pack, so Opera is out. Your only options are some very basic and glitchy homebrew browsers. You might get a couple sites to open (text only of course) after a few minutes, but it's not worth your time. In the time you spend trying to check your e-mail, you could have found a computer with internet access. Seriously, I spent weeks trying to browse the internet on my DS. There is no good option on the DS.

If you buy a DSi, the Opera browser can be downloaded for free right onto the system, and it runs beautifully. No Flash or video yet, but it's still a great, fast browser.

    Thanks Cturtle for the reply.

I've done a little more digging and came upon DSorganise which has a web browser as well as lots of other bits.

All I had to do was configue the Wifi settings in MarioKart (why doesn't the DS allow WAP?) then fire up DSOrganize.

You are right about it being slow. Yahoo crashed but Google was not to bad.

All in all it was fun to do but I think I will just find a PC to use instead :)
