    Hi guys,

i have a problem w/ my internet. It always seems to disconnect then reconnect randomly, sometimes quickly, sometimes for a while longer.

I don't think it's my ISP's fault, as my VOIP phone (not connected to comp) still works. Also the modem indicates everything is OK.

I'm behind a router, but have tried bypassing it. didn't help, so i guess it's not the router.

can someone please help me with this, it's especially frustrating when i'm downloading something, and i'm almost done, then i have 2 start all over again cuz of internet disconnection.

    thxs!.

I have had this happen when I max out my download speed, does it only happen with heavy download?

Also, try updating your routers F/W and/or getting a replacement Modem

If the problem insists, contact your ISP

nope, unless u call MSNing heavy dwld ;)

my router is 'inexq', but their website seems to be dead.

And i don't think my ISP will help, because, as i said b4: my VOIP phone still works during when my internet doesnt work (my voip phone isn't connected to my comp, however).

    thxs.

if you have bypassed your router its not likely the problem.try going to a site and when the message internet explorer cant display this page comes up click on diagnose internet connections.you may have to run this twice.post back with what it says.

hm...looks like it. i just got a new comp, and connected it to the router as well, and when the internets disconnected, i check the other one, its also disconnected.

btw, my router is a "inexq" router, but their website seems to be dead. anyone know anything about this?

when you mean you bypassed the router, your computer was connected straight to the modem but it still disconnected then that proves is not a router problem. try another pc the same way to see if your pc is causing the problem which might be the netcard. try another netcable from modem to pc. it might be the modem even when all lights say is alright.
