Hi, think this is the right place for my questions. Have Verizon for my internet service, had a really poor time with losing my connection, 3 times a service man came out, finally this week it appears as though the issue is now fixed. Since that time though, my internet speed has crawled almost to a halt. It now takes just too long to open any site, or even to open a post here, cannot watch YouTube, my downloading speed is 42.67 mb/sec, now takes about 40 minutes to download/upload files that used to take 5 minutes. My internet speed is 222/112 db(?). I could a scan test, said I was only getting 3.1% of my Verizon speed, not positive it's right, could be though. My basic questions are is there anything I can do on my end...changing any internet setting, changing anything on my computer, downloading a program, etc. I run Windows 2007, it's a compaqCQ050-215NR, the modem is a Westell. Thanks in advance for any help, tips, etc, sorry for making it long, wanted to try to describe it all as best as possible.

Will have to put this problem on hold right now, my phone line is down, yet my internet is still working, as long as I just do forums and typing like this and no uploading/downloading, it's somewhat bearable. Sure I'll be back in a few days asking for help, service man is coming, 4th time, let's see what they screw up this time.
