i have a 10mbps down and 1 up. i was have speed problems so i called my provider and she had me run some speed tests with the same slow results. i then booted up in safe mode and hit 11 with no problem. she said it was i had "stuff" on my computer and needed to clean it up? she wouldn't clarify it, any idea of what she was talkn about and good programs to use? thanks
Good programs to get your machine clean. You have to run all of them because they are free and some search for different items. Spybot Search & Destroy Link A Squared 3 Link Ad Aware 2007 Link CCleaner Link AusLogics Disk Defrag Link ERUNT & NTREGOPT Be sure to read about certain software. You will find that AusLogics Defrag works very well. The last link that I gave you is an Registry Optimizer and Backup utility. After you have run all of the programs run AusLogics, then NTREGOPT, then run the ERUNT. All of these programs combined will get you system clean, and running much faster than before. I find that it is better to run the programs in Safe Mode, but it is not crucial. If you want to run the programs in safe mode then press F8 repeatedly on startup and you will be given a menu. Select safe mode to run all programs except the AusLogics, NTREGOPT, and ERUNT. Be sure to read up on ERUNT so that if the time ever comes you will know how to restore your system. Good luck!!
