One of the best purchases i have ever made. This program is great and i recommend it to anyone who is looking to make quick and top quality backups.

I agree with elizerroj on this "speed and quality". InterVideo DVD Copy 3 is fast and it produced amazing quality in results.

How does it compare to Recode2?

Honestly, I would have to say it's slightly better than Nero Recode 2.

Need some help! I have pretty much every prog and I have been using a favorite of mine...Intervideo Copy 3 Platinum. Everything has been fine until lately...I backed-up my copy of The Fugitive (WB) and used the main movie mode (not deleting any audio or subtitles) yet when I use it in my standalone...the 5.1 Dolby Digital does not register to my Yamaha. I had used the Trial, then purchased a copy from a retail store. All the other back-ups have been fine, except for a few from Warner Bros....the DD audio stream is copied yet it does not register to the receiver. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

MovieDud i had been using Intervideo DVDCopy3 also with the same problem doing the movie ONLY and its playing back the directors comments on some standalone players instead of the correct audio.

the problem is there is NO re-authoring capabilites with this program i called Intervideo about this problem and talked to them in lenght about it and even emailed them . hopefully they will fix it .Theres alot of us in here that have had the same problem with the program.

So as of late i have been using CloneDVD2 instead BECAUSE you can re-author the video and the audio and have had NO problem at all with it . iam done Intervideo DVDCopy3 unless they fix the problem so we can re-author

MovieDud i would call them like i did and if enough of us do maybe they will change things

So BEWARE all using it. it will cause you audio problems doing the movie only.

aabbccdd, Thanks for the update. I love this program (espcially on the fly back-ups) yet I really like the user control (like CloneDvd 2, Rebuilder/CCE, or even Dvd X Plat.). I will register my conplaint with Intervideo and add my name to the list of disappointed users. It is strange that aside from these WB's most of the other Movie-only back-ups work just fine. Kind of strange. I also did a backup of my copy of Muder at 1600 (movie only) played just fine. Matter-of-fact I never really run into any problems with any of the progs...until now. Agin thank you for your help and sharing of information.

    Sure moviedud
like i said WITHOUT the re-authoring capablities its a sub-par program.
WITH re- authoring capabilities it would be an almost perfect program
because the video quality is excellent

But for now it CloneDVD2 with anydvd ,its a great combo and if you type in "afterdawn" guys when buying its 10 bucks off making it 49 bucks for both THATS unbeatable!!!!

I have got to say after using the trial version I was disappointed too, it does a good quality backup, but it did give me problems. It worked okay if I did full or main movie, then I had to save to hard drive and burn with CopyToDVD in order to control the burn. If I tried to use the customize feature, I could not open these files, and if I did it burned a blank/unplayable disk. Enede up with several coasters something I usually never have. I will stick with AnyDVD, CloneDVD, Recode and CopytoDVD all work fine. Just my opinion.

intervideo is only second to RB/CCE in term of quality and speed but, i have to give it up because of so many errors it produces, you name it; wrong audio, no audio, wrong subtitle, subtitles when uncheck etc... too many problems. too bad for its quality picture it is so good.

Isn't it strange that some people swear by this program, and others have all kinds of problems with it?
I find it works best when you use it to do the whole disc, with no customizing. If I can get a level 3 or better, I use this program,if its less than that I use DVDRB/CCE.

I agree with the statement that the editing features are terrible.
Dvdclone has this program beat by a long ways in that respect.

I agree with jim__dandy. I do love this program. Last night I struggled getting The Fugitive to be backed up using the movie-only feature, yet when I customized it and used everything until compression dropped below 4 I was able to make a very nice back up. I alos use Rebuilder Pro/CCE for anything else (OUTSTANDING) yet I also have found that the open source ReJig transcoder does a great job and then I burn with nero. Again, Clone DVD 2 has the Intervideo product beat by the Re-authoring (editing) feature. Thanks for all the input and again have a great day!

I don't like doing just the movie, I like menus and extras too. So I checked out the trial for DVD Copy 3 once and tried it on 2 movies. 1 movie came out beautiful, the other had serious menu issues (it was an episodic DVD). So I decided against it. Now I use Rebuilder and CCE, takes a bit of time, but well worth it.
