We all know *nix and other platforms aren't renowned for gaming.

Here's a little project that looks promising, and unlike wesnorth isn't anything like complete yet.
I loved the sim-city and tycoon games. Why not give this one a try and see how it goes.

    Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe..

Registering and afraid of spam? Just use a mailinator email address! Just make up whatever the hell you want in front of @mailinator.com or @mailin8r.com, then go to the website and check the address for any activation links etc. I think emails hang around for a few hours at least before being deleted.

Not many websites have mailin8r blacklisted as anonymous yet, so I tend to prefer that one ;)

A bit quiet around here at the moment... Need more noobs to flame...

Eternal Lands version 1.6.0, a free massive multiplayer role-playing game, has been released.

There have been some changes to the game which are an improvement.

    Client changes:

    *Many bug fixes.
    * Archery (bows and crossbows). The new archery items will be buyable from the NPC next week, and they will be makable in a few weeks.
    * Better water reflections, if supported by your hardware.
    * The player and monster models are now rendered by the GPU, if supported by the hardware.
    * Many speed improvements, smoother camera and actor animations.
    * Various GUI improvements (some of them need to be manually activated, unless if you are using the el.ini provided with the download).

    Server changes:

    * The mines/caltrops/etc. will not disappear when changing maps or logging off.
    * Leonard the leopard (he is not fully done, but it works).

    Download http://www.eternal-lands.com/page/download.php

I couldn't manage to take any screenshots so here are a couple of blatantly stolen ones :)
