I am new at this so any help I get would be appreciated. I burned a dvd yesterday and tried today and got the message "Invalid Block Address" at about 3%. I used a dvd+r disc, Nero 8 and HP 1040i dvd writer. I tried a dvd-r right after and got an "invalid field in parameter" message. Here is my log for the block address error, I can post the other if someone is willing to help. I have been having problems trying to convert and burn dvds. I am not really sure where to look for problems.
    Thanks

I am trying to convert avi files downloaded to dvd files to burn to dvd+r. I have watched most of the movie files on Nero showtime 4 and they play fine. I was using winavi 8 to convert yesterday, and I burned one converted file with Nero 8 to disc that played in my dvd player just fine, but today after converting I seem to be missing files. These are the files converted..

    video_ts.bup
    video_ts.ifo
    vts_01_0.bup
    vts_01_0.ifo
    vts_01_0.vob
    vts_01_1.vob

I looked back on the video_ts folder from yesterday and saw 2 more .vob files that gave me a larger folder, about 500 more MB. Anyways I went ahead and I burned these to dvd disc to see what was up and got audio but no video. I uninstalled and deleted winavi and reinstalled but it did the same thing again. So meanwhile I have quite a few movies downloaded to my computer and I want to delete them, they take up tons of space. So I remembered someone told me about DVDsanta for converting so I tried it and it converted the files just fine. I have Nero 8, which worked fine for one dvd so far so I tried burning the files to disc. Today I got the error message "invalid block address" after 3% burn.

Thanks, I downloaded DVDFlick and am trying to convert and burn as I write. I will let you know how it turns out. I think I have a bigger problem than just dvd programs not working. I am also getting these "Windows has recovered from a serious error" messages each time I reboot. I am thinking that my computer is malfunctioning. I had a really bad problem a couple of weeks ago and could barely get it to run. I found a couple of bad virus', TrustedAntivirus and AdvancedCleaner and a couple of others. I kept getting popups that said I needed to install these programs,(above) because they found pornography on my computer. I downloaded SDfix and ran that, got it working, and installed spybot, avg 7 and registry mechanic. Ran those and found a ton of problems, cleaned it and it seems to be ok now, but I still get the error message each time I reboot. Thanks so much for the help, any ideas?

That bad huh, so that would mean I need to save any work I have onto cd and move all my files to my backup drive to save my work? I will lose any programs I have installed?
    Thanks for the help.
