I had my Iphone 3G updated to the 4.0 and well we all know how crappy it was for the 3G's. I've been able to downgrade the phone back to 3.1.3 however, I have not been able to find a way to jailbreak it. All the methods I've found (pwnage and snowbreeze) have not worked. Does anyone here have successfully downgrade their 3G back to 3.1.3 and been able to jailbreak it again? Thanks
Hi! ^^ Sn0wbreeze and pwnage tool are for creating custom firmwares. You will want spirit to jailbreak your 3G! ^^ download from here. Hope that helps! ^^
You have the option to upgrade to 4.0.2 and then jailbreak with redsn0w 0.9.5b5-2. download redsn0w 0.9.5b5-2 official firmware 4.0 (to jailbreak the 4.0.2)
You're welcome! ^o^ He didn't want to upgrade to 4.0.2 as it caused serious load time problems and lagging on the 3G... >.<
Well that's a differen't thing altogether. There are fixes for the lagging on 3g. http://thebigboss.org/2010/07/01/3g-on-40-slow There, fixes from a trusted source.
Again thanks for the replies. How is 4.0.2 with the 3G's? 4.0 just made my 3G soooooo slow it made me want to throw my phone against the wall.
lol Fair enough then. I have a 3Gs myself, so haven't come across those problems and therefore haven't needed to fix them. lol Apparently 4.1 is due out soon, so it's prb best to hold fire til then. they haven't really made any major changes to 4.0.2, besides fixing the PDF exploit, so it was a pretty crap update tbh! lol
