canb anyone help i did jailbreak when i got my new iphone 3gs and it all went smoothly, the other day i put 26 new song in the phone and all my music dissapeared into other useage in iphone leaving me with just the new songs, but no space on iphone, so i clicked restore iphone which caused it to update to 3.0.1 firmware and now jailbreak wont work i get the let it rain to come up and the pic on my phone then its says wait 4 reboot but after an hour nothing has happened, i hard reset iphone n no joy no freeze, can i go back to previous firmware by holding alt button on itunes when i hit restore and go back to 3.0.0 will this allow me to jail break ??

by "let it rain" i assume you used purplera1n the 1st time? if so, it doesnt work on 3.0.1 so you will have to use redsnow 0.8
Oh my guesswho i do appologise for my appaling grammer and vocabulary, typing on an iphone is worse than useless, hopefully i wont sound as conceited as you, common sense provides us with the tools to help our fellow man in times of need when we have the knowledge to help others, unfortunatly i know very little about jailbreak on the iphone, but have a degree in botany and primate biology therefore if it were a plant or animal i would be more akin to problem solving. On another note a proper thank you to uturn as you provided the answer i required, yes i had used purple rain on the first jailbreak and i had presumed that the ipgrade to 3.0.1 firmware would still work but more research has indicated that the developer of purple rain has no interest in continuing his work and red snow is definatly the only fix for now , i needed to confirm this before i attempted to jailbreak it again thanks for solution
