Ok First I want to clear I know nothing about the OS used or anything. I just have a few questions and i also dont have any idea what is illegal or not. I live in India Q1.what if my uncle who lives in US buys an iphone for me from the Apple store and brings it to India,can I use it with the sim cards in india and even in india we have iphone services can we use it with them? Q2.If not then how can we crack/unlock the iphone for free? Q3.Would I still be able update it and use apple apps? Q4.I read about jailbreaking and Iphone unlocking and cacking can someone tell me the difference betweeen them ? Guys please help me with the problem.
1 ) If you buy a phone from att most likely it will be firmware 3.1.3 which will prevent you from unlocking . Therefor you would only be able to use it with att . So unless you have att in India you could not use it until a unlock has been released . 2 ) All jailbreak/unlocks are free for firmware versions that are jailbreakable or unlockable . That being 3.1.2 and below . 3 ) A jail broke phone can still use apple apps aswell as third party apps . 4 ) Jailbreak allows third party app to run on the iphones . Unlock allows non att sims to be used on iphones .
