My boss got me an iPhone for Christmas, but I'm pretty sure it fell off a truck. If I type in the serial number when I register it to my cell phone # in iTunes (assuming that's how it works), will I still be able to use it, or will it be banned by Apple since that serial number is missing from their stocks in the stores?
hmmm, this is a tuffy. Well, their are no negatives on going ahead and giving it a try. It will most likely work and if not....you just take it to an apple store and they will most likely help you. No banning or anything will happen. ohh, and why do you think it fell off the truck?
Hmmm... what do you do? Dose you boss seem like the type of person that would 'give you a lost phone?' I know apple dose track the serial numbers so if you ever have to send it in for warranty I might think twice... Just my 2 cents though!
