I look in the search engine but didnt find anything of use anyways, I just got my Ipod yesterday and im haveing trouble getting my video to work right.I use the Itunes converter and when i put the file on my ipod i have no sound at all. My version is 1.1.1 anyone know how to fix this problem?
I am having the same problem! I am working on different programs, and nothing yet. I tried using AVS video converter too, and have the same problem as with iTunes.
Does the video play with sound in iTunes, or just without sound on your iPod. There's a good chance something went wrong during the conversion process that would eliminate the sound. Either that or you converted the sound at to high a quality rate for the iPod to play. Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, [bold]48 KHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats;[/bold] MPEG-4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, [bold]48 KHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats[/bold]
LMAO!!! @BruiserTX It may be the firmware version that you are running on your iPod. If you don't know which version you have, on your iPod, go to Settings-->About. Then, next to Version, it will say either 1.0, 1.1, or 1.1.1. If it says 1.1, then you will have to update the firmware to 1.1.1 using the iPod Updater at this link: http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/ If you have some other version such as 1.0 or 1.1.1, then do as DarkJello says and see if that works. ;-)
I Know The Answer To This Problem!!! Ayo wat up, I had this same exact problem when I got my iPod about 5 montths ago. I was a newbie at that time and didn't know anything about iPods. First off, convertying the movies or videos won't work if you did it in iTunes. It will give you no sound because it was converted into an,(I think it was MPeg-4 or something). All you have to do is convert it with Videora IPod Converter. It works great and its FREE!!! Heres the link http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/ And you can use this tutorial: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/244629 Just scroll down and look for Videora Hopes This Helps
What I meant was did u try using head phones instead of the ear buds that came with it because they may have been defective
