hi i have Windows Xp and i have bought a ipod off of a friend. Here is the problem i tried to install Itunes that doesnt work, is there any other program that i can add and delete songs off of my ipod other than itunes plzzz tell me because i cant somehow install itunes. Thanx
i install itunes and some error comes up and it tells me to restart my computer i do that, and i come back and it keeps on telling me the same thing
Do you have Quicktime installed on your computer? If you do, uninstall it then install iTunes. If this doesn't work, what does the error message say exactly?
Quicktime is what iTunes uses to play all the media. iTunes is just the interface used to view and select the files.
not to be rude or anything just can u tell me if there is another software that lets me delete and add songs to my ipod if there is great i can just use that software then
Yea sure...there's SharePod, probably the most known. I've never used it personally but I hear it's decent.
arite man i'm in sharepod but i dont know how to delete the songs i dont want and add them sry if im causing u alot of trouble lol
LOL No worries, it's what I'm here for. ;-) I'm not familiar with SharePod myself, as I haven't actually used it, but here's a few things I googled up that may be helpful. Sharepod is complete executable program which you can carry with you and use on any windows machine. To use it you simply put the sharepod.exe onto your iPod and run it from there. You must have the iPod enabled as a hard drive. It uses the iPod library database to list all your music and then you can simply transfer what you want from your iPod. A little more information can be found here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/250743 Hope this helps, and sorry I can't help you with it a little more. ;-)
see this guide of sharepod for help. http://www.sturm.net.nz/website.php?Section=iPod+Programs&Page=SharePod
arite thanx guys you have been a BIG HELP and just one last tiny question wat does it mean by when u say umm put the ipod in ur own drive or something like that im confused on that part
Put your iPod into disk mode by pressing and holding the Menu + Center buttons until the iPod logo appears them immediately press Play/Pause + Center buttons until it says "Ok to Disconnect". You have now put your iPod into disk mode. ;-)
itunes now comes with quick time as part of it's programme may be you are using a program that is to old have you gone on to itunes and downloaded from there
