There is an iPod at a local pawn shop for $20 but they don't know the password.. is there any way I can use it if I don't know the password? Is there a hack or something? I've tried searching the forums but.."password" comes up a whole friggin lot.. can someone help?

    Thanks

Haven't tried that.. will that reset the password as well? I will try it... Someone had told me about taking some chip out of the back but, I don't know anything about iPods so I thought I would ask here first.
    thanks for the reply

you could either do the physical reset, or i believe there's a software restore you can do with your computer and the USB cable that will return it to exactly as it was when the factory dropped it in the box.

i think the 1 aus is talkin about is when you give your iPod a password, and plug your iPod into your comp, then your iTunes remembers the password so that you can "restore" it on your comp.

moral of the story is, you need to use the previous owners comp.

or just hold centre and menu.
