ipod error

    Sometimes when I am transfering songs onto my ipod i get the message that the transfer failed error -124 does anyone know what this means?

    It could mean that the format of the song or video isn't supported by your ipod. see lethal B's guide at the top of this forum on how to convert files to ipod format. ;-)

    I had this prob it means that the song or video isnt in MPEG4!!! Use Lethal B's quid to convert you Songs!!!

    Oh if you fell like spending money for a converter Quicktime Pro is great! you can get it at Apple.com for 30 bucks!

    allmy songs are in the right format, I transferred them before without any problems so I don't think that that is the problem.

    - The answer required here is audio-related, nothing to do with video.. If it were, then the error message would specify the files not copied..

    Ok, try a couple of things before we go any further.

    - First try a soft reset (Press & Hold 'Menu' & 'Center' buttons together for 6 secs until the apple logo appears.

    -Secondly, try a restore. Connnect your ipod to your PC, open up the latest apple updater, and click 'restore'

    -Thirdly, are you using apple Updater vers. 1.1? If so, I suggest you downgrade to version 1.0, as the latest version seems to have so many bugs, that it's untrue.
