hello, please help with my ipod it shows all video and audio files in both lists of the ipod, so basically whatever list i go to i have just a full list of everything i have on my ipod. i havent tried photos because i havent put any photos on there yet but how come the videos and music are in both sections?

oh and the video doesnt play when i try play a video file. i tried the tv out setting but that didnt fix it

    thanks in advance

oh forgot to add- after i restore the ipod and put my music and videos back on it works for a while. but it just randomly occurs that the lists merge. i dont know whats causing it because i dont do anything specific to make it happen but im getting annoyed having to restore the ipod and put my music back on it all the time

What program do you use to convert videos? or did you get them from the iTunes music store?

i use xilisoft ipod video converter

but the program I use shouldn't matter should it? since the lists only start messing up after a period of time (variable) after I restore the ipod.

ive been trying lots of things to find out the problem, because it started happening some time after i had my ipod in another persons PC, then took it out unsafely.. Not sure if it happened straight after I did it but that's the only "significant" event that I remember before it happened.

so I restored my ipod, put 1 video and 1 song on it, took it out unsafe and it didn't have an error lol :/.. then put on about 20 videos and 20 songs and it still didn't mess up... then I tried my whole collection (~2000 songs and ~50 videos), unsafely removed it and it STILL didn't screw up lol

so i guess that's not the problem, but if it isn't I have no clue what is...

edit: with the "videos dont play" thing.. I mean, they do play but when this error i'm describing happens they stop working.. and i have to restore the ipod for it to go back to normal
