Hi Im looking at a 30gb ipod (uk) - can someone tell me if it uses the standard headphone jack or is it a different socket? Enquiring as I can't use the in-ear things and wanted to carry on with the headphones i have for my md player Emma x

Yes, the iPods do not have special headphone jacks, but some of the predecessors of the current nano have extensions on the basic jack to allow for a remote control..
