I just bought an iPod Video 30GB and I'm getting the videos onto my iPod. The only thing is that when the video goes to a dark scene i can see little black boxes there. I was wondering if i could fix the resolution when i convert it using Cucusoft iPod Movie & Video Converter.

5-gen iPod supports the following video formats.
MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480x480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats
H.264 video: up to 768 Kbps, 320x240, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats.

You can only get the .mp4, .mov, .m4v file formats that meet the general limits onto your iPod. Or else you need to convert them.

Cucusoft iPod Movie & Video converter can convert AVI, MPEG, WMV, RM, MOV, ASF, etc. to iPod video. You might as well have a try following the guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/253137
