hi i was wondering if anyone has had the same problem as me, but when i turn off my 30gb ipod, i sometimes come back to it and it is randomly playing a playlist i have made and obviously draining the battery. it is not just a one off as it has happened several times, can any one offer me any advice? ive reset it by holding the middle button and menu a few times as well and this has not helped. any help would be much appreciated.

I can't suggest anything outside of restoring it with the iPod Updater. You should definetly give that a try.

I have this same problem too with my ipod mini. It has only begun recently to happen. I think it was due to the update. Maybe Apple put a bug in the ipod so that it would just turn on by itself to kill the battery.

Anyway I tried to downgrade the software but I don't know how to.

if i restore my ipod using ipod updater doesnt thsat mean i will lose all my music? apple is rubbish i would not buy an ipod again the only advantage is itunes because it is so easy 2 use. so many people have problems with ipods.
