IPOD VIDEO only lasting for 1 hour

    I got a new IPOD VIDEO for christmas and i charged it up for 3 hours until it had that charged symbol with the plug.I then put about 1000 songs on it and listened for about an hour and my battery life was down to red and nearly out.Is this the case for other people or is my SECOND ipod video a fault aswell.

    were u watching videos at all i know videos drain the battery die twice as fast

    Was that the first time you charged it? Your battery life shouldn't be so dramatically short but it's usually best to completely drain a rechargable battery before charging it for the first time. Backlight, volume, and EQ can also make a difference.

    i had a friend with the same problem he let it die a recharged it and it was fine also if you dont have a warranty there is all kinds of sites to buy new batterys

    I wouldn't buy a new battery yourself; If you are under warranty, let Apple flaming well do it. That's what the warranty's for..
