    Hello,

When I convert video on my work pc, (Intel Dual Core Dell Laptop), the videos stutter durning playback, on the pc and the IPOD, but the videos converted on my power mac play back fine. I have tried WinAVI, VIdeora, and several other programs, does anyone have any idea's???

    Thanks,

How much RAM do you have avalible during the encoding process? If it isn't sizable [500+] and you arn't running any other programs you may consider setting the priority higher for the program. CTRL+ALT+DLT once then go to the 'Processes' tab and set the priority for the converting program to AboveNormal to start.

I have a gig of ram in my work laptop, after shared video gets it there is about 768 left. I will try setting it to a higher priority and see if that makes a differance. Thanks for the info.

I tried that and still didn't make a differance, I have tried low bit rates and high bit rates and still doesn't make a differance. I have noticed that around 45 minutes through a movie it stops stuttering and plays perfect. This is very very strange.

I'm not really sure what the problem would be then, sorry :-/

Whenever there is a problem with converting the video trying a different program almost always works, but that isn't the case for you so I don't really know what the cause of the problem is.
