i got and ipod 30 gb video 4 days ago, and its been a bitch to set up, but i finally got it. however, i was on my way to school this morning, when i tried to turn it on, it would not turn on. and can someone please tell me how to reset it, i tried holding menu and the center button for 6 secs, i think that was it, but then, the apple logo came on for a second, then shut off again. on more thing, the battery was half full last time i used it. any suggestions to make it work.

try to restore the ipod. if that doesnt work, install firmware 1.1 and see if that works. if that still doesnt work, take your ipod to the nearest apple store and they will help you.

I would suggest restoring your iPod. You do this like so -

    Open the iPod updater,
Connect your iPod to your computer,
Once the initialization process is complete, click `restore` :)
