I was having problems with my xbox slow on start-up. Im using a "XENUIM CHIP" It was slow at start-up and at times i would hav to reboot several times to get it to play DVD's with the "DVDX SOFTWARE". which was aggravating having a 3 year old. I modded my box years ago and really didnt do much after.(GUY NAMED PROCTOR HELPED ME) SO i really not an expert in this field. However, I'm no dummy, Or at least I thought i wasn't. As i was saying, I decised to "REAPLY" my software to my box and see if it would stop the small glitches. I pulled up "XENIUM DASH" and went to settings and setting everything to default factory settings. I also went and erased all the folders(C:E:F:G:X:Y:Z. THIS IS WHERE MY INTELLIGENTS SHOWS........I reapplyed all the sofeware LIKE EVOX.dash.xbe,and skins apps, trainers,and so on....NOW it does nothing.....AND before you ask no i didnt back-up the "ORIGINAL XBOX FILES" just after modding..... YES I'm aware of that i should hav however the milk already on the floor. Can anyone help me? I placed a smaller thread and no one helped me.....DONT LET ME DOWN>>>>>>>PLEASE AND THANKS. I am not all experienced with this stuff. But most likely you will need to take out the xbox hdd and get a new one from another xbox. Without those drives you can't start up your xbox. Also you said you modded it a few years ago it wasn't working good maybe because your bios wasn't updated. One suggestion would be to softmod your xbox I did and put on Unleash and it has no problems.
The thing with using a different hard drive(WHICH I HAV ONE) it wont let it boot up. (RED BUTTON flash NUMBER 6) SERVICE needed. SO that didnt work but thank you.
Oh I'm sorry I couldn't help. If you get another one though I would suggest the softmod It can still run evolution x or Unleash.
use slayers and build you a new hard drive or just get a stock c drive and use xbhdm and make you a new hard drive and you will be good to go.
