Remember ebay years ago before the commercials? you could almost get anything for half the retail! What happened? People are now paying over retail price for things on ebay.Why? Are they retarded,Rich, Or just to lazy to drive to the store? What do you think? I really want know because I don't get it! Ebay Makes me so Mad nowadays.
you have to look at it like this it is a sellers market,also there are other online sites that are just as good as e-bay, and if you don't like it don't go there,
I know what you mean; I don't have the patience for ebay anymore. You can still find some good stuff cheap or some unusual or harder to find stuff but you've got to sift through page after page of plain ol' rip off merchants with ebay stores who really aren't auctioning anything, charge twice what anyone else does at three times the postage. I wish it was more like it use to be.
People make you pay more b/c they know that there are some IDIOTS that will pay $1200 for like a PS3 when its retail is like $600.
There are some things I just don't understand though. For example, I bought a stand for a digital piano and literally paid one cent! The postage though was $30.00 which was far more than it should be but still a serious bargain considering I only paid a penny for the piano stand. How can someone sell an 80.00-100.00 piano stand for a penny? It wasn't from an individule, but rather an ebay store. I just can't figure out how that's possible.
@ gerry.. From experience the $30 is (minus the actual cost of shipping the thing) the price they wanted. They probably bought 100 or so at a clearance auction for 25c each.
Thanks for the comments I'm Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I sold a couple items so far, I made a profit Everytime, So It's nice if your a seller.(But they just rasied there Rates Again in jan.) I was suprised how cheap it was to ship a larger package. I paid about 7$ for a 3LB box but I only had to pay about 17$ for a 30LB box. Also your right you can still find cheap stuff but like you said it can't be anything popular like the PS3. There is SOME stuff you can still get it for cheap price. I like ebay cause some stuff they just don't sell on store or you can't find anywhere eles. But it's on ebay.
I look for odd stuff at Ebay: My mom's cologne-Goddess-Ebay is the only place I can find it and it's usually a very good price. Fishing Lures: My #1 saugeye crankbait is discontinued. Occasionally I find them at Ebay. Benq dvd-rw drives- about the only place to find them since Lite-on bought them out.A good place for the Plextor's as well-hard to find the Px716A and SA I don't sell anymore because they kept upping the fees, UGGH! Here's a couple idiot stories I saw on Ebay: A guy bids $300 for a PS3 last fall,and $50 S&H. If he read the description before bidding,it was for the cardboard box and packing material only-no drive!! He/she never paid for it. And the kicker,4 other people also had bids in on it. I read something in ireland's international coffee and tee thread: Man sells vintage cars on Ebay,and doesn't posess them. Buyer agrees to pay cash or equivalent when they pick up the car. When the buyer shows up,the seller pulls a gun out on them and takes their money. LOL. It happened in Indianapolis. Anybody still get those Ebay fishing Emails? I used to get them once a week,all wanting my account numbers,pin numbers, LOL. I even had a guy using my Ebay username and trying to sell a "68" Camaro. When I noticed all my passwords got changed,I was fuming. Ebay said I gave out my information,but how in the world do I give someone my user name? You get that when you sign up.If the name you desire isn't available,they will tell you to pick another name.
