Hi, Is extracting a movie (as an iso file) faster than making a disc to disc? I have some recorded movies on dvd-rw and would like to copy them on to some better dvd media. So I'm just wondering if one way is faster? Thanks! Kimmi
Recording on the fly (disc to disc) is more error prone. A lot of burning software creates a temp file and burns from that. I prefer that or ripping to the hard drive. Whether you use Files or an ISO depends more on the burning software then anything. I always rip and burn in file mode so I can easily access the files if I need to check for an error or want to edit anything. ISO is just a packaging format for the burner. Don't let anyone pull the wool over your eyes about it being a cure all for a lot of problems.
