Is It Possible To Convert Your Player To Divx Using Software?

    I bought my DVD player about a month before the Divx dvd players came out.

    Is it possible to use a software or a code to install Divx into it or is the only way to have Divx on your DVD player is to buy one with it already on it?

    If the DVD player is not specifically built for playing DivX content, then no, there is no way to "upgrade" it.

    You can, however, convert DivX files into DVD vob video files with the proper software. I believe there is a guide here and/or at doom9.org on how to do that.
