I am wondering if it is at all possible to remove hard-coded subtitles from a video clip ? ( i.e. the clip is in Divx avi format ) . Thanks. Zooco
The only certain way I know of is to crop the video. An alternative is the blending method - discussed here. http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/...rd-subtitles?p=2028269&viewfull=1#post2028269 Unless the subs are in the black screen area of a letterboxed video you lose a lot of the picture by cropping - and the blending/blurring method, depending on the degree of success, can be distracting to watch.
