Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question, but this is the problem: I have not done any kind of mods on my xbox, have done nothing special to it in any way, shape or form, and when I turn it on, I get error #16 - does this mean my hdd is dead, or is there a way to reserrect it still?
Hi..it's a software error..what I usually tell prople to do is run a recent Live enabled game (no internet connection) and go to the live update screen. With a bit of luck you will get a screen that says "updating dash" and when that finishes you are good to go. there is about a 70% chance of this working, so if it doesn't then you will need to do something much more complicated.
my friend had this problem but ithink its the same as ur problem his xbox was shot and he had to get a new 1.
